Dr Yashodha Ediriweera

Dr Yashodha Ediriweera is an independent Consultant Specialist GP (ABN: 16 928 543 057) (MED0002440656) consulting at the Earlwood centre.

Dr Yashodha grew up in New South Wales and completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours at James Cook University. She holds a Graduate Diploma of Child Health from the University of Western Sydney and the Family Planning NSW National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health.

As a fully qualified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) Possums Accredited practitioner, Dr Ediriweera provides specialised, evidence-based support for early parenting challenges. She offers comprehensive clinical services in infant feeding and lactation, maternal and infant sleep optimization, and neurodevelopmental care.

Dr Ediriweera began her medical career at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, followed by paediatric training at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Her General Practice training in South West Sydney has allowed her to develop a comprehensive skill set while serving a diverse community. Dedicated to holistic care, she has special interests in paediatrics, women’s health, and family medicine. She strives to support patients at all stages of life with compassion and holistic care.

Dr Ediriweera speaks Sinhalese in addition to English.
