Dr Eileen Phuah is an independent Specialist GP (ABN: 79 949 947 590) consulting at the Bangor centre. Dr Eileen Phuah graduated in medicine from the University of New South Wales. She undertook a year of research on childhood leukaemia in medical school. Subsequently, she completed her internship and residency at the Launceston General Hospital in Tasmania and Westmead Hospital in Sydney. Her research areas spanned intubation in emergency departments through gestational diabetes (GDM) in pregnancy. As a doctor with a passion for global population health, Dr Eileen has chosen to do her clinical elective in Kenya and the Philippines and clinical rotation in women’s health in Sri Lanka. Dr Eileen enjoys looking after patients’ general health and disease prevention. She is especially interested in women & children’s health and sexual health medicine, completed postgraduate training in all three areas, and has attained the Diploma of Child Health, Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Sexual Health Medicine Certificate. Dr Eileen is an accredited antenatal shared care GP with various hospitals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys travelling, scuba diving, spending time with family and friends and DIY projects. Dr Eileen speaks Malay in addition to English.
