Dr Ahmad Shafiq Suffian Wee is a Neurologist (ABN: 98 691 982 510) (MED0001903195) consulting at the Earlwood centre. Dr Shafiq completed his medical training at the University of Newcastle, before understaking a Master of Internal Medicine at the University of Sydney. He subsequently achieved his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), specialising in Neurology, with subsequent subspecialty training in Stroke Medicine. His specialist training was undertaken across Wollongong and Liverpool Hospitals, where he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of acute stroke, cerebrovascular disease and a wide range of complex neurological conditions. Dr Shafiq is currently a Staff Specialist Neurologist at Wollongong Hospital. With a strong background in internal medicine, he takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to neurological care. His clinical interests include stroke, cerebrovascular disease, and the management of a broad spectrum of neurological disorders. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Shafiq is actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors. He has a strong interest in clinical research, with a focus on improving patient care and health outcomes through innovation and evidence-based practice.
